City were torn apart in a nightmare opening 16 minutes at Villa. Three goals in a devastating opening spell left City in tatters. To make matters worse City were reduced to ten men before the interval with the sending off of Les Ferdinand, the veteran striker was dismissed for arguing with the officials.
The second half showed a little improvement with Scimeca looking settled in the centre of defence. Muzzy Izzet got a consolation goal for City with a well placed free kick.
Adams claimed City would need to go back to the drawing board. With a two week break coming up it is the perfect time for our troops to regroup and prepare for the televised clash with Leeds.
